Black Rock to Offer Full-Field Full-Fender Bonus To Street Stocks
By RICH VLECK
DUNDEE, NY - More cars will mean more money to win for the Labatt Blue Street Stocks at Black Rock for the rest of 2008. In an effort to increase car counts, BRS will now pay $500-to-win any street stock feature in which a full field is in competition.
With a steady car count of 16 cars appearing each week, a full field is not that far away and if that many competitors show up Black Rock Will reward them.
Competitors at other tracks often complain that they run for so little money when they have so many cars to compete against; now at Black Rock, teams will hope there is more competition which could result in more money in their back pocket.
Handicap procedures will still be in place in all of the events, which begin this Friday Night.
Monster Trucks Invade Black Rock This Weekend
Donít forget that the monster trucks make their annual early June visit to the Black Rock Speedway this Friday and Saturday. On Friday Night, the ground pounders will join the modifieds, street stocks, 4-cylinders, bandits and an enduro while Saturdayís program will be run with a Total Destruction Demolition Derby, an roll-over contest and much more. Knight Settlement Sand and Gravel and J&J Coots Construction will present the action, with racing starting at 6:45 p.m. on Friday and 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
