Junior Enduro Division to Join Bandits at Beginning of Each Friday Night at Black Rock
By RICH VLECK
Stemming from a wildly-popular debut last Friday Night at Black Rock, the Junior Enduro division is around to stay.
The Junior Enduro Division, featuring 12-15 year olds in front-wheel-drive 4-cylinder mini stocks, will run at 6:45 p.m. each Friday Night simultaneously with the Home Necessities Black Rock Bandit Division. While they will both compete on the track at the same time, separate points will be maintained.
Rules for this truly amateur division will operate like that of the RWD Bandits. The youngsters will need to supply a copy of their birth certificate, along with having a minorís release form completed, with signatures of both the participant as well as a consenting adult. Each month, when the adult enduro is part of the card, adequate time will be provided for teams to make necessary adjustments to conform to the driverís comfort requirements. Track rental vehicles are not permitted.
Once again, points will be calculated separate of the Home Necessities Bandits, even though both classes will be running their 10-lap feature simultaneously.
In the first week of Junior Enduro action, Dayton Cote scored the win ahead of Joey Rodbourn and Justin Eldridge.
Action at Black Rock continues this Friday with a Total Destruction Small Car Demo added to the full card of action. For more information, visit www.BlackRockSpeedway.com.
